As the school year is in full swing, it is important to think about your student's future after high school. All of our ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ County high schools allow many opportunities for students to gather information for colleges, careers, and military throughout the year. This week is no exception! We have two district-wide college tour events available for anyone to attend. We will have 40+ colleges, universities, and military representatives present at both events on both sides of the county for your convenience.
Tuesday, October 3, at J. W. Mitchell High School (2323 Little Rd., New Port Richey) from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, October 4, at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ High School (36850 County Rd. 52, Dade City) from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Meet with representatives from the Florida State University System, including:
- USF
- FSU
- UWF
- UNF
- UCF
- FAU
- FAMU
- FIU
- FGCU
- UF
- Plus several more private and out-of-state schools.
Many U.S. Military branches will also be present to provide information, including:
- U.S. Army
- U.S. Navy
- U.S. Air Force
- U.S. Marines
- U.S. Coast Guard
- Florida National Guard
- Merchant Marines
Other events, which are only for students currenty attending each respective high school include:
- Tuesday, October 3, at Sunlake High School from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Tuesday, October 3, at Land O' Lakes High School from 11:30 1 p.m.
- Thursday, October 5, at Zephyrhills High School from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Remind your student if they attend one of these schools to check out the college and career fairs at these locations.
